fuck these titles are bloody small innit.
Is Murdoc's treatment of Cyborg Noodle a direct parallel to the way autistic children are abused by their parents?
I quickly looked up a quick website (accidentally found myself on autismspeaks twice and hissed lmao) as luckily I'm not abused as an autistic child? But I do like to do my research on theories to refresh my brain.

He'res the ones that match up (a lot of these are for children in school which does not apply to this)
Cyborg noodle:
To explain in my own words ... Cyborg Noodle is extremely alert and ready to react to anything that could be an attack. you could chalk it off as her just being a gunslinging walking weapon who needs to be aware, but she spends most of her time inside with murdoc ... hmmmm....
Adult supervision ... for a young teenager with an undeveloped sense of the world, she sure is left on her own an awful lot to fend for herself. Murdoc just sends her off on mundane tasks whilst he does his own thing.
She's extremely compliant and passive. She barely reacts to what happens around her. She's also extremely compliant, but we all know that.
Ok for Murdoc the context is a little different than what's in some of these bullet points:
In my own words again ... Murdoc doesn't really care what Cyborg does, as long as she does what he says. In the video for OMH he barely offers a glance when she comes back to conscience. He just orders her around again. Which means he acknowledged she was awake, he just didn't care ....
Ok, the second point is more 'blames the child for the child's problems at home' ... any problem cyborg noodle has, IT'S HER FAULT! it's her fault because she's 'not smart' or some other reason which murdoc takes to yell at her.
Then Murdoc always complains about cyborg noodle. whenever he brings her up, he adds in a snide comment about her intelligence or some other thing he can find to complain about her.
This one is Murdoc always demanding cyborg noodle to do things for him, even when she doesn't have the capacity to understand the extent of the command he's given her. He expects her to complete the task smoothly, and yells and threatens to hit her when she makes mistakes.
Here's some more signs of abuse which ... murdoc fits all four hoo boy
my words AGAIN!!!
oh wait ... these actually ... explain themselves ...... :9
there's more but I'm ... tired :9 sorry sorry I know this is a serious theory I'm pulling out my arse. Also I'm ignoring the sexual abuse section because I don't believe that owuld be included. Murdoc is abusive but he himself has been sexually abused in the past so I really ... do not see him doing that?

Cyborg noodle:
- Is always watchful, as though preparing for something bad to happen
- Lacks adult supervision
- Is overly compliant, passive, or withdrawn

Ok for Murdoc the context is a little different than what's in some of these bullet points:
- Shows little concern for the child
- Denies the existence of — or blames the child for — the child’s problems in school or at home
- Sees the child as entirely bad, worthless, or burdensome
Demands a level of physical or academic performance the child cannot achieve

Here's some more signs of abuse which ... murdoc fits all four hoo boy
- Appears to be indifferent to the child
- Seems apathetic or depressed
- Behaves irrationally or in a bizarre manner
- Is abusing alcohol or other drugs
